YouTube channel value calculator

A channel's value comes from two numbers, and only one of them is public: views are measurable, revenue per 1,000 views is not. This page makes that split explicit. Enter your own views, RPM, monetised share and multiple, and it shows the range that follows — plus 954 real channels from the tracked dataset to sanity-check it against, with their actual audience sizes and view velocity rather than an invented earnings estimate.

Estimate it

Estimated monthly revenue$1,100
Estimated channel value$30,800
Annualised revenue at this RPM$13,200

Worked example: 1,000,000 monthly views at $2.00 RPM with 55% of views monetised gives 1,000 × 2 × 0.55 = $1,100 a month; at a 28× multiple that is a $30,800 value. These are your assumptions, not data — the radar has no revenue information for any channel.

How the estimate is built

There is no public API that reports what a channel earns, so any site quoting you an exact figure is guessing. This calculator does something narrower and more useful: it applies your own assumptions to your own numbers, and writes every step down. Two inputs drive it — how many views the channel gets per month, and RPM (revenue per 1,000 views that stays with the creator, after YouTube's cut; CPM is what advertisers pay, which is a different and always larger number).

Monthly revenue = monthly views ÷ 1,000 × RPM × monetised share. The monetised share matters more than people expect: not every view is served an ad, and Shorts, embeds and viewers with ad blockers all lower the fraction that actually monetises. If you do not know your RPM, the honest starting points are narrow for most faceless long-form channels in the niches this radar tracks — but treat any RPM you did not measure yourself as a guess, because RPM varies several-fold by country of the viewer, not just by niche.

Channel value = monthly revenue × a multiple. The multiple is a market convention, not a law of nature: it has run between roughly 20× and 36× monthly revenue for content channels, and it moves with how much of the traffic comes from search versus subscriptions, how much of the library is evergreen, whether the value is a person's face or a repeatable format, and how concentrated the revenue is in one monetisation stream. A channel with one viral video and nothing else does not deserve the top of that range.

What this page deliberately does not do: it does not show estimated earnings for the channels in the dataset below. We know their public view counts and subscriber counts — that is all the API gives — and multiplying those by an RPM we made up would produce a number that looks precise and is worthless. The table gives you the comparables (audience size, view velocity, consistency) so you can judge a valuation against real channels instead of an index.

Comparable channels from the radar

The 20 highest-scoring channels in the tracked dataset, with the numbers the API actually provides. "Monthly views at lifetime rate" extends the channel's strongest tracked video's average daily views — total views divided by days since publish — over 30 days. It is a rate, not a measurement of the channel's total monthly traffic, it excludes anything the radar has not captured, and because it is a lifetime average it cannot tell you whether that video is still climbing or already flat.

Best score uses the same breakout score as the rest of the site, so it rewards velocity and reach rather than raw size. Page rebuilt 2026-09-25.

What this page is not

It is not an appraisal, and it is not a way to price someone else's channel without their data. Two channels with the same view count can be worth very different amounts depending on where the viewers are, whether the traffic arrives from search or from a personality, how much of the library is evergreen, and whether the revenue comes from ads alone or from sponsors, affiliate deals and products. None of those are visible from the outside, which is why the honest output of a public-metrics calculator is a range with its assumptions attached — and why this page publishes the formula instead of hiding it behind a single dollar figure.
