What this site is
Breakout Signal is an independent radar that tracks publicly available YouTube video metrics — title, channel, subscriber count, view count, likes and publish date — for videos that appear to be over-performing. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by YouTube.
No accounts, no personal data collected
There is no sign-up, no login and no newsletter. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or payment details, and we do not sell or share personal data because we do not collect any.
Data stored in your browser
The “Saved” feature uses your browser's localStorage to remember the signals you bookmark, along with your language, filter and view preferences. This data never leaves your device and is removed if you clear your browser storage. The site sets no tracking cookies of its own.
Public YouTube data
Video metadata is retrieved through the official YouTube Data API and shown as captured snapshots. Titles, thumbnails, channel names and metrics remain the property of their respective creators and rights holders. We display them for research and commentary purposes, and we link back to the original video.
Third-party services
The site may be served by a hosting provider that keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention. If analytics are enabled in the future, this page will be updated before they go live to describe what is measured and how to opt out.
Takedown and corrections
If you are a rights holder and want a listing corrected or removed, contact us through a comment on the video in question or open an issue on the project repository, and we will act on reasonable requests.
